May!

Friday May 11th- Final Test! On Electricity and Magnetism!
                           - This will be Student Created, from their Lesson Check Packets!

Final Mini Science Fair Project!

Due Week of May 28!
     - May be Presented Prior to Due Week if completed (Basically, present it as soon as its completed)
     - THIS PROJECT SHOULD BE DONE AT HOME WITH HOUSEHOLD ITEMS.  THERE
SHOULD BE VERY LITTLE TO NO COST FOR THE COMPLETION OF THIS PROJECT!
-***IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF ITEMS PLEASE SEE ME IN SCHOOL AND I WILL SEE
       WHAT I CAN FIND/DO!***

Instructions!

     - Project must be completed in the form of a "Report" or on a "Poster"
          - NO TRI-FOLD POSTER BOARDS!!!
     - Must fit into your backpack or rolled up and rubber-banded
     - May be hand-written,Typed is preffered

STEP-BY-STEP
     - Ask a Question (10)
          - State Your Problem/Question (ex. What kinds of slime can be made with clear glue?)
          - Give 2-3 reasons why you want to answer or solve this problem (ex. I would like to know
what kinds of slimes are made with white glue, blue glue, clear glue.)

MAKE A HYPOTHESIS (10)
     - ONE sentence 'prediction' on what you think will happen at the conclusion of your experiment.
          - Use an If...Then...statement (ex. If I use clear glue to make slime, Then my slime will be
            clear or transparent)

TEST YOUR HYPOTHESIS (20)       ***EXPERIMENT***   ***DO AT HOME***
     - Supplies
          - List all of your supplies and materials to do your experiment

     - Procedure
          - A step-by-step list of EXACTLY how to complete your experiment!

RECORD YOUR RESULTS (10)
     - This should be a visual representation of your experiment and what you discovered
          - Use Graphs, Charts, Pictures
***3-5 pictures of your project and the results would be ideal!***

DRAW A CONCLUSION (10)
     - A clear and concise answer to your Question
          - Restate your hypothesis
          - Describe what happened in your experiment.
(ex. My hypothesis was, If I use clear glue to make slime, Then my slime will be transparent.  My hypothesis was incorrect.  I thought that if I used the clear glue along with all of the other ingredients that I would be able to produce a clear or see-through (transparent) slime.  It turns out that even if I use clear glue, the shaving cream that I used prevents the slime from being transparent.  The shaving cream actually gives the slime an opaque or white color, keeping it from being completely transparent.)
          - Your final conclusion should be ONE paragraph long (5-7 sentences)

Example of a completed project COULD be: Page 1 Title or Question being asked
